Foggy Noggin Grand Opening Set

Hey FogNoggers

As February comes to a close and we quickly approach the unveiling of the Foggy Noggin Beer line-up, it is time to provide a bit more update on our progress.

January 23, 2010 marked our first commercial brew day, with a ½ BBL brewing of Bit O’Beaver (English Bitter). We have brewed 2 successful batches of Bit O’Beaver and 1 of Christmas Duck. We are brewing every week now and hope to be able to keep up with the demand. The date March 20th for our grand opening is set. Address and directions will be sent in the March 2010 update and posted on our web-site.

Grand Opening – What does it mean?

We will have the tasting room open from 1-4PM on March 20th, 2010. Here beer enthusiasts (with ID to prove they are over 21) will be able to sample our two flagship beers – Bit O’Beaver and Christmas Duck. These beers will be available for sale by the growler (1/2 gallon glass container). If you have a growler, you can bring it and we will fill it for $10 (cash), or you can purchase a Foggy Noggin growler for $5 (cash) and have it filled for $10 (cash). We will have a limited amount of T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, 20 oz. pint glasses, 4 oz. taster glasses and hats for resale. All sales are cash only.

Since we are located in a neighborhood location, it is critical that everyone obeys the speed limit and does not block any driveways. We need to be courteous beer enthusiasts to make sure our neighborhood continues to support the brewery. There is no consumption allowed in the tasting room, which means no public bathrooms, no pint sales. This is truly a taste and beer to go operation.

How Frequent will the tasting room be open?

We don’t have a good handle on this at this time, sorry. It is impossible to anticipate the demand of our beers. Each time we are open we want to have enough beer to meet the demand, as much as possible. We will use our blog and twitter accounts to get this information out. Right now, I think we will be open once a month, stay tuned.  We will try to find a way for growler pick-ups on non-open weekends.

Foggy Noggin in the Press

We are having positive press from the local beer blog-sphere, as the Northwest eagerly anticipates the first pouring of our brews.

Where can I get my Foggy Noggin?

We are also getting inquiries from restaurants, beer bars and beverage houses on how they can among the first to serve the Foggy Noggin Beer line-up. We are in negotiations with a couple of retail locations that we think lines-up well with our beers and will represent us well. Stay tuned for announcements on these locations.

Regular followers of Foggy Noggin will be able to e-mail pre-orders and schedule for pick-up of growlers, using our Fn Growler Exchange. We are considering home delivery service in the local Bothell area as well.

What is Foggy Noggin Brewing?

We are brewers of great English Styled Ales on a very small 1/2 BBL system. We are now one of the world's smallest production breweries. We take great pride in every batch to bring you consistent high quality brews year-round. While we get up and running, you will only be able to get our fresh beers at our tasting room, located at our brewery in Bothell, WA.

We will begin with our two (2) flagship beers - Bit O'Beaver (English Bitter) and Christmas Duck (Robust Porter). More beers are planned to be introduced as we grow.
