Foggy Noggin Growing Hops?

What started as an idea in Hillsboro, OR in Karla's backyard (now Hop Farm), has moved north and in planted in the back of the Foggy Noggin Brewery. Karla planted one rhizome of Willamette last year and harvested one ounce.  This was used in brewing out Kastrated Dawg (which will be available at the Washington  Brewer's Festival (June 18).  Kim planted two rhizomes this spring in the East exterior of the brewery.  Centennial and Fuggle.  From the looks of the pictures below, the Fuggle hops has the best start so far.  Stay tuned for updates and more pictures.

New Fermenters Arrived!

Custom made 1/2BBL fermenters from Elliott Bay Metals (Mukilteo, WA) arrived today.  We ordered 3 and 2 arrived.  These are expertly crafted fermenters and match the existing one we had.  Perfect compliment to the Foggy Noggin Brewery.  Look for more beer coming out of the brewery in the near future and more places to order it.

Foggy Noggin Gets Cool

With warmer weather coming soon (we hope), we needed to install air conditioning (AC) in the brewery.  Since we control our ferment temperature by the room, we heat in the winter and will need to cool in the summer.

This took all day Saturday to do.  Thanks to a couple of real FogNoggers (Brady and Tom) to help get this work completed.  Now it's installed and Foggy Noggin is ready to handle the hot days of summer.
